Combines Dynamic Real-Time Content Filtering with Advanced Malware Detection
Bloxx, the innovator in Web and email security, today announced the release of the Bloxx Secure Web Gateway (SWG). The Bloxx SWG appliance combines the company’s dynamic real-time content analysis and classification engine, Tru-View Technology, with Sophos’s Anti-Malware and the Bloxx SSL proxy. This will provide customers with unsurpassed levels of content filtering and protection against Web-based security threats for HTTP and HTTPS web traffic.
“The release of the Bloxx Secure Web Gateway builds on our extensive proven expertise and large installed base in Web content filtering and demonstrates our intent to move further into the broader security market,” said Eamonn Doyle, CEO at Bloxx. “The combination of our unique real-time categorisation technology and Sophos’s Genotype threat-engine technology provides customers with an elegant solution that offers zero-second protection and peace of mind at a compelling price.”
Bloxx has been running an extensive early adopter program with selected customers over the past four months to ensure that the Bloxx SWG’s incorporated features and functionality will help IT Managers significantly reduce the complexity and time taken to manage Web filtering and security.
“The Bloxx SWG provides an easy-to-use and intuitive solution for proactively managing, controlling and reporting on Web access and minimising security risks in an organisation,” said Alan Banks, IT Manager at Scottish Prison Service. “The combination of real-time URL content filtering and robust protection against rapidly evolving Web security threats will be an attractive proposition for IT Managers.”
