Mobile device filtering
The Bloxx Web Filter provides a range of filtering options to allow you quickly and effectively extend your filtering polices to mobile devices such as tablets, laptops and smartphones. This is achieved either by deploying or configuring the appliance in a specific way to handle the device traffic, for example Android devices, or by installing client device software, for example iPads.

Filtering for iPads and iPhones
With Apple iPads and iPhones now being widely deployed in organizations, ensuring that any Web browsing on these devices complies with your organization’s Acceptable Use Policy is now essential. However, Apple iOS devices are particularly difficult to filter since Apple has chosen to not implement an across the board proxy setting.
The Bloxx iOS Browser is a fully-featured iOS browser which forces Web requests to be filtered directly through a Bloxx Web Filter. When used with Mobile Device Management software, this locks down the iOS device to ensure that all on- and off-network Web browsing complies with the user’s and the organization’s filtering policy.

Filtering for Remote Windows Devices
The Bloxx Intelligent Remote Filtering Client for Windows restricts user Web access made through Windows devices such as laptops and tablets to a company's filtering policy by forcing Web requests to be made directly through the Bloxx Web Filter. The application also ensures that Web access continues to be filtered even when a user is accessing the Web through a public Wi-Fi hotspot or a mobile broadband connection.
This uniquely solves the problem of having to manually maintain an allow list of Wi-Fi providers on each device. Without this, users would either be denied access to the Internet or allowed unfiltered access.

Filtering for BYODs
Embracing a Bring Your Own Device policy will undoubtedly present a new set of challenges for your organization. The Bloxx Web Filter can be configured to allow you to filter Wi-Fi traffic from BYODs, to ensure that any Web browsing complies with your Acceptable Use Policy.
